Perspective of Metro Line 1

, Metro line 1 is expected to be completed late in 2017 and formally put into use in early 2018. By design, the carrying capacity of the line Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien is 186,000 passengers per day by 2020 transported 620,000 passengers and in 2040 up to 1.02 million passengers. With a metro train running speed from 40 to 60km / h on the route to Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien long 19.7 km only took about 30 minutes (every 5 minutes with a trip Terminal and the train stops at each station on average 1.5 minutes to pick up and drop off passengers).

The implementation of the project metro line 1 is a strong impact of urban development along the route such as District 2, 9, Thu Duc (HCMC) and Di An Town in Binh Duong. In the future, this metro line can be extended to the city of Bien Hoa (Dong Nai) and the connection to the inter-regional railway to the city Thu Dau Mot (Binh Duong)
